Tim Hallbom is a trainer, author, and developer in the field of Neuro–Linguistic Programming (NLP). In 1985 Tim co–founded an NLP Training Institute in Salt Lake City, Utah, which became an internationally recognized organization that offered practical, skill–based training to individuals, businesses and government organizations.
In 1999, Tim moved to the San Francisco Bay area and is currently the President and Director of Training at the NLP and Coaching Institute of California, an organization that provides personal and professional development training programs to individuals from all over the world. He is the co–creator, along with his wife, Kris, of the WealthyMind Seminars where people can learn how to identify and change unconscious limiting beliefs about how to create the lives that they really want to live. Tim Hallbom has developed
numerous NLP processes, including methods for helping people identify and change—limiting beliefs, create better relationships, deal well with trauma, integrate inner conflicts and communicate more effectively with their unconscious minds. These are continually being integrated into The NLP and Coaching Institute of California coaching and NLP training programs.
The NLP and Coaching Institute of California now teaches people how to become professional coaches through his International Coach Federation accredited Academy for NLP and Coaching.
In addition to his training, Tim also maintains a busy private coaching and consulting practice in the San Francisco Bay Area. Tim is a Certified NLP Practitioner, NLP Master Practitioner, and NLP Trainer in the field of Neuro–Linguistic Programming. He received his Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Utah. He is the past President of the International Association of Neuro–Linguistic Programming. He is a founding member of the World Health Community and serves on the Board of Directors as President of the Institute for the Advanced Studies in Health (IASH), a not for profit NLP research organization.
He has recently joined Jack Canfield, John Grey, and others as a member of the Transformational Leadership Council. He is the co–author of NLP: The New Technology of Achievement, (Along with Suzi Smith, Steve Andreas, Robert McDonald, Charles Faulkner, Gerry Schmidt and Kelly Gehrling), as well as Beliefs: Pathways to Health and Well-Being (with Robert Dilts and Suzi Smith), and The Handbook of Behavioral Change (with Kris Hallbom, Connirae Andreas, Peta Stapleton, et al.).
Tim was a contributor to Alternative Medicine Now, for his work with allergies, NLP and Health. Recent articles include Coach Skills for Managers (Innovative Management Magazine) and an article on ethics and coaching for Choices, a journal for professional coaches.
